San Francisco Health Care Security Ordinance

The San Francisco Health Care Security Ordinance (HCSO) established several employer health care-related obligations for covered employers. The HCSO, which generally applies to for-profit businesses with 20 or more employees and nonprofit businesses with 50 or more employees, took effect on Jan. 9, 2008.
